One of our core missions at Lightbox is to create space for new media artists, creative technologists and experiential marketing leaders. We host community events that bring our online audience together IRL, allowing them to explore the latest in art and tech trends.
#DecodeExperiential, a Digital Art & Technology series developed by Lightbox CEO, Daphné Jouanneteau and studio As We Are founder, Jess Conatser. Focused on bringing together a global collective of New Media Artists, Creative Technologists & Experiential Marketing Leaders, Decode Experiential produces panels, artist meet-ups & public art installations. In May 2019, Lightbox hosted New York City's first-ever Digital Art Fair with CADAF and Decode Experiential. The three-day event included artist panel discussions, curated new media installations and cross-reality artworks.
TRANSITIONS by Vincent Houzé @ Lightbox NYC
TRANSITIONS by Vincent Houzé: an interactive artwork installation that was shown for a one day only preview as part of Decode Experiential's ongoing Public Art initiatives. The installation was on view in April, 2019 hosted by Lightbox.
In 2017, Lightbox launched a three-part artist residency program that featured the work of local, new media artists. There were a total of nine artists who used Lightbox's technology and space to create one-of-a-kind artwork to showcase new, interactive and immersive art. (Featured art by Barack Chamo)
