Subway Immersive Dinner

The iconic franchise Subway held an immersive dinner at Lightbox to showcase their Fresh ingredients.

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

The Subway team collaborated with Lightbox to build a custom menu using Subway’s signature ingredients. The two-day event invited media and influencers to taste elevated dishes during a 5-course dinner while synchronized visuals told the story behind each ingredient. 

Guests entered a Subway-logo wrapped building featuring a “bread carpet” that led down to a store inspired lounge in the cellar. Custom cocktails integrated unlikely menu items like pepperoni washed bourbon, tomato water, and banana pepper brulee to create delicious refreshers.  

Attendees were then led upstairs into the main box for dinner. As guests dined, the sounds and content on the walls shifted to match each course. A popular dish was the spinach raviolo, composed of Subway-sourced salami, provolone, and baby spinach. Cutting into the center, egg yolk spilled onto the plate revealing the infamous Subway fresh yellow in a bed of surrounding green.

Scent vials were arranged synchronistically to mirror each corresponding course and add an olfactory element to the dining experience. With help from the creatives at Circle PR, the entire venue showcased the brand’s new and improved look and brought the superior Subway ingredients to vivid culinary life.
